Kakuni Don Set Meal (Braised Pork Rice Bowl) — No.1 Most Popular: ¥1,900
About 200 g of extra-thick braised pork (weight after simmering) that can be “split lengthwise with chopsticks,” served over 200 g of premium Tsuyahime rice from Yamagata, with a soft-boiled marinated egg, mashed potatoes, shredded and chopped green onion, pickled red ginger and Japanese mustard. Comes with a hearty pork miso soup (tonjiru).
A deluxe version topped with two whole pieces of our braised pork. If you can’t finish it, you can take the rest home (take-out container ¥50).
Kakuni Don with Trimmed Pork: ¥1,300
Made with the trimmings cut off when we shape our whole braised pork. The rice, side items, pork miso soup, recipe and flavor are the same as the Kakuni Don Set Meal — only the shape is irregular, so we offer it at a lower price.
